License Agreement
Last updated October 21, 2026
In short: one license is for one person, on up to two computers they use. You can use Focus Tracks for any project, including paid client work. Don't share, resell or redistribute it. Teams buy one license per editor.
This License Agreement (“License”) is between you and PostFocus. PostFocus is a business of J.B. Waggoner, a sole proprietor in Tennessee, USA (“PostFocus”, “we”, “us”). It covers Focus Tracks and any other software we sell (the “Software”), including updates we provide. By installing or using the Software, you agree to this License. If you don't agree, don't install it, and ask us for a refund within 14 days of purchase.
1. What you get
When you buy a license, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to install and use the Software, subject to this License. The Software is licensed, not sold: we keep ownership of it and all rights we don't expressly grant you.
2. Who and where
- One license = one person. Each license is for one individual user.
- Up to two computers. That person may install the Software on up to two computers they personally use, for example a desktop and a laptop, but may not use it on both at the same time.
- Teams. If several editors use the Software, buy one license per editor. A company may buy licenses for its employees or contractors and reassign a license when someone leaves, as long as only one person uses each license at a time.
3. What you can do
You may use the Software for personal or commercial work, including paid client projects. Projects, sequences and media you create with the Software are yours; we claim no rights in them.
4. What you can't do
- Share, sell, rent, lend, sublicense or give away the Software or your download link.
- Upload the Software or its installer anywhere others can download it.
- Modify, decompile, reverse engineer or create derivative works from the Software, except where the law allows this despite this restriction.
- Remove or change any copyright, trademark or license notices.
- Use the Software in a way that breaks the law or Adobe's terms for its products.
5. Updates
Bug-fix and feature updates within the same major version are free. Versions 0.x count as part of version 1, so if you bought any 0.x or 1.x version, every update through 1.x is free. A future major version may be sold separately; if so, the version you bought keeps working under this License. We aren't required to provide updates or support, though we try to.
6. Third-party software
The Software runs inside Adobe Premiere Pro, which you must license from Adobe separately. Adobe and Premiere Pro are trademarks of Adobe Inc. PostFocus is not affiliated with or endorsed by Adobe. Future Premiere Pro updates may change how extensions work; we'll make reasonable efforts to keep the Software compatible but can't guarantee it. The Software includes the Josefin Sans font, used under the SIL Open Font License.
7. No warranty
The Software is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't warrant that the Software is error-free or will work without interruption. Always keep backups of your projects.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, PostFocus is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, projects or business, arising from your use of the Software. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the license. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
9. Ending this License
This License lasts until it ends. It ends automatically if you break it. When it ends, you must stop using and delete the Software. If you get a refund, your license ends and you must delete the Software.
10. Law
This License is governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Tennessee, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it there. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived.
